Amazon returns

At my store we have an Amazon return counter, they’re open from 9am to 7pm so we at the booth have to take return at customer service before and after. It’s not a huge deal at this store but it does get a little dicey when we have Whole Foods customers that need assistance and they have to wait behind someone with 7 Amazon returns.

HOWEVER we changed locations. We got a big brand new store in August of last year. At our old store which was there for 20 years, there was no Amazon desk. There was no self check out. The booth was the express lane and the Amazon desk and the customer service desk and it was never ending. We’re trying to answer phones and deal with complaints and catering orders and page other departments AND take Amazon returns. The lines got super long and everyone was impatient by the time they got to the front of the line and it was a night mare.

It’s as someone else said, we were not equipped to handle that excess business. We are now, because we have the Amazon desk, but for store than don’t, it’s like Amazon said “fuck you, figure it out”
