One time I was in the lunchroom during high school and some kid comes up to me and asks me for a dollar. I didn't know how to respond so I handed him a dollar like a little dweeb. Then his friend came over when he saw how spineless I was and asked me for money. I told him to fuck off (what I actually said was "no"). A few months later I was watching "everybody hates Chris" and the show made a joke about being asked to "borrow a dollar" in the hood. Then young Chris Rock told his friend that he just got robbed and the dweeb remarked "cool"! It was at that moment that I knew - I got robbed. You can take a man out of the hood but it is harder to take the hood out of the man.
