Ok, so this happened about three years ago when my boyfriend and I first moved into our place. Also, this may sounds absolutely crazy but this is exactly what is imprinted in my memory. A little background: We were super excited about our new place which was pretty damn secluded to be on an island. Our backyard was surrounded by very thick woods and we were the only house on our road. We loved it and we mostly enjoyed hanging out in our backyard which we adorned with oriental rugs, trampolines, hammocks, among other fun stuff! The incident: My boyfriend and I had been having a wonderful night. We had mostly chilled in the backyard, listening to music and watching the stars. We connected on a deep level that night and I felt that I was very "aware" or "conscious" this night and deeply connected to the universe and feeling a sense of oneness. It was almost 4am when my boyfriend and I lay in the hammock listening to music. He had his eyes closed, relaxing as I stared intently at the sky. All of a sudden very bright shooting stars shot across the sky one after another. After about the fourth one I urgently told my boyfriend to look up at the shooting stars!! As he did a shooting star came across the sky and stopped above us in the sky. Dead in it's tracks, stopped. The star/light then proceeded to get larger in my perception as if it was descending upon us! It appeared to come all the way down to the top of the tree line and then suddenly burst off behind a tree. My boyfriend and I were in complete shock and paralyzed with fear/awe. I managed to whisper to him: "It is hiding from us!" because it appeared to only go right behind the tree nearest to us. As I said this the orb of white light "peeked" out from behind a nearby tree and we saw it again. My first instinct was that it was something amazing but then I remembered watching "Fire in the Sky" two nights previous and how this is what he had thought as well!! So as soon as we saw the light again we took off from our place in the hammock and jetted for the door to our house. Once we stood up the light simply "took off" and dissipated into nothingness. It was by far the craziest thing I have witnessed in my entire life!! I was so overwhelmed from emotion after seeing it that my face was soaked with tears. The thing that completely blows my mind as well is that we both saw THE EXACT SAME THING. Does anyone know what this could have been or a logical explanation for this??
