Anyone else want to try for another baby but scared to be pregnant because hospitals are filling up?

We're the same. I mean, I was ambivalent about having a second anyway, so it's not like the pandemic is the only factor... but it's kind of the determining one at this point. The biggest issue for me is the lack of reliable family and community supports; neither of us have family geographically close and we weren't able to travel to see them for sooo long with our first that they basically missed the first 18 months of kiddo's life. While we have an amazing community of friends around us, with all the lockdowns and restrictions we weren't able to support each other (babysitting etc) the way we'd planned. All that to say... one and done is starting to look pretty good.
