AP sources: AG Sessions will rescind policy that allowed legal marijuana to flourish without federal intervention

I think the bigger question would be if they try to corner the market through regulation...

It seems you misunderstood my comment, but that's all great information in its own right.

With regard to regulation, you're right. That's the big question, and that's what my comment is about - tobacco companies using regulation to rig a market that is hard to control by other means. I explained why it's necessary for corporations who want to produce cannabis on a large scale will need to have the government regulate or cartelize the industry on their behalf of protect a captive market they control.

That's exactly what the Ohio bill I mentioned tried to do several years ago. A front group called ResponsibleOhio was pushing a bill on behalf of ten companies who wanted to cartelize and regulate cannabis production in Ohio. This group intentionally fashioned their own name after Responsible Ohioans for Cannabis - who had a more free market friendly bill - in order to intentionally confuse voters.

These companies will to go great lengths to use government regulation to control the market. Gosh, I feel like I'm repeating myself.
