I mean I'm speaking to the warped value of artistic integrity. I like plenty of things considered 'shitty,' but I would recognize them as such. I'm more referring to people who will hold up FN as a titan of gaming achievement. From a popularity standpoint, definitely. From a mechanical standpoint, I'd be less inclined to agree. That's why I disagree with the minecraft comparison. The fact that Apex has a very good chance of overtaking FN demonstrates that FN was really more of a 'right place, right time' than underlyingly exceptional mechanics. MC on the otherhand, has had thousands of building games, voxel based and otherwise, yet it still retains a dominant cultural fixture.
