Apple just had its first annual revenue decline since 2001

I think they have a much stronger and varied long term strategy than Apple

Hey, Apple has an OS with a GUI, why don't we make an OS with a GUI?
Hey, Apple has an mp3 player, why don't we make an mp3 player?
Hey, Apple has a digital media store, why don't we make a digital media store?
Hey, Apple has a smartphone, why don't we make a smartphone?
Hey, Apple has free OS updates, why don't we make free OS updates?
Hey, Apple has an intelligent personal assistant, why don't we make an intelligent personal assistant?

While you could call it a varied long term strategy, it seems like they're just looking for existing markets, copy whatever's popular, and try to compete with it. Oracle has a RDBMS? We make an RDBMS! Netscape has a web browser? We make a web browser! Google has a search engine? We make a search engine! Sony has a video game console? We make a video game console! Sun has a object oriented programming language? We make an object oriented programming language! And while we're at it, let's also copy ML!

Nothing wrong with that per se, a lot of big companies do it, but Microsoft just takes it to a whole new level, and it's like they gave up on trying to be innovative a long time ago.
