You’re really getting into this. It’s so easy to say “sorry I didn’t realize blaming someone’s pregnancy for their mental state was rude.” Let me help you better understand that you’re rude for saying I’m paranoid because I’m pregnant or that I’m only thinking about my families safety because I’m pregnant. These both involve my mental state with pregnancy: assuming that my thoughts don’t matter because I’m pregnant or that my having a newborn soon is affecting my judgment of my surroundings.

Physically I am pregnant and people can see that, know that I am physically handicapped and can’t lift very heavy things, probably can’t run very fast, probably can’t fight back if attacked. I’m an easy target for someone because I’m carrying a kid in one arm and also am physically fatigued from pregnancy. That freaks me out. Not because my “pregnant brain” is telling me that it’s scary. It’s scary that I’m physically handicapped. In no way does my mental state affect how a potential predator sees me regardless of the level of hormones in my body.
