You are given 10 billion dollars to create a game show. It can involve anything including illegal things and death if you so desire. What is your game show?

(Largely inspired by the movie "Cube".)

Imagine a cube, made out of dozens of other cubes. These cubes are all rooms, about the size of your average bedroom. The ~12 or so contestants are put in the center. These rooms will be perfect cubes, with metal/concrete floors, walls, and ceilings. (Maybe with a few very specific exceptions.) And being in a cube shape, each room will have six doors: left, right, front, back, top and bottom. These doors will all initially be locked.

Each cube will have some specific purpose, like one cube might contain nothing but 1 or 2 beds, another might have some water bottles or a few dozen cans of food, the next might have a few camping supply items like a backpack for carrying that food, one might be a kitchen sort of room with a can opener to open that canned food and prepare it (along maybe with a few dishes), the next may have toilets, maybe one has a TV or something, you get the idea.

Each cube will have a puzzle in it, maybe a highschool level math equation that they have to solve, a trivia question, a challenge like the game Simon, solving a riddle, just about anything. Make sure that they aren't super easy for any one contestant, like don't ask anatomy questions if a surgeon is going to be a contestant.

The thumbprint of the first person to solve a room's puzzle will be able to open any of the six doors in that cube. They also have the option to unlock the doors, allowing everyone access. This being optional comes in handy when a contestant discovers, say, a room full of literally nothing but crates of Reese's; they may decide to just keep it to themselves.

Additionally, some of these rooms will reward the first person to walk into them with prizes - like a few thousand dollars, a "Braaaand new car!" or the like. Just to give some incentive to explore. In the same way, upon entering some rooms the door will lock behind you, and you will have to face a 'penalty' (Fear Factor style) in order to get out. This penalty counts as that cube's puzzle, so once completed, you can open or unlock any of that cube's doors you like.

The goal of the game is to be the first to escape. The contestants will be able to figure out that the exit naturally must be on one of the six outside edges somewhere, but other than that they're clueless. (Maybe some of the cubes could contain clues?) The first to get out would naturally receive some sort of prize, maybe a million dollars since that seems to be the go-to for gameshows.
