Taxi Driver gets racially abused by woman in London

No, I know very well what it means and what I’m saying, I just disagree with you. That phrase might “sound similar” to you, but the context is entirely different. If we get into all the hypocrisies of how “liberals” discuss things, fine, we’ll be here all night—-but there isn’t a double standard. Besides the fact that I can think of more portrayals of young Black people mocking and being cruel/violent to immigrants in popular culture than are necessary to bring up, what I’m focusing on here is that the latest data on anti Asian hate crimes says that white people commit 50% of these crimes, Black people 20%. Considering that most of these occur in urban areas, generally in areas near the edges of high Asian population (which are often areas with a high Black population to begin with), it strikes me as odd that there’s a routine hyper focus on this being the most intensely pressing issue to be dealt with. Asian Americans have certainly not been quiet about it, and it seems that even white liberals took StopAsianHate as the issue du jour, so what’s the erasure here?

Honestly, I feel like the opposing side to my argument doesn’t exactly understand why we ascribe “white supremacy” as foundational to this situation, and isn’t interested in understanding, mostly hand waving it in the conservative style as an “excuse”. Funny, because the major movement in the old “POC” thought towards racist Asians was always “they’ve internalized white supremacist values”.
