Weekly Observations: What signs of collapse do you see in your region? [in-depth]

Interesting about Western MA being more laid back. I've been out to Amherst once or twice but that's about it. I will say I went to visit Philadelphia a few months ago and as far as the uptightness it's like a whole different world the moment you get to NYC. Like once you're past NYC you feel this burst of energy from people around you and then on the way back it's just...dissipates into nothing. Very quiet and uptight in comparison. Definitely conservative elements in the other regions but people are way less uptight. That's just my experience. I feel very free in those cities in comparison whereas I get scoffed at in Boston if I wear casual clothes and go into places like North end where South station is. It feels like a gated community.
