Are The Goalposts For When "Good Music" Ended Going To Be Shifting Forever? Is There No End To What We Get Nostalgic For?

Yes! Yes we we will, and this is why. Nostalgia is hardwired into us. People were already nostalgic for "lockdown music" ie, that period of time in 2020 where tiktok and trejss ruled everyone's lives. We will always be nostalgic for something. Certain time periods of music, eras, movements, you nake it and chances are someone is nostalgic for that time. Even if they never lived through it.

A huge one nowadays is scene music and alt culture in general. It's seen now as something extremely cool, and is accepted. It never used to be like that however. Festivals When We Were Young are capitalising on the hype and giving the younger generation, and even older scene kids, the opportunities they never got, in a more accepting crowd.

With music being a prominent force in media you consume, it's no wonder why we are always nostalgic for something. I've discovered songs off of video games alone. Movie soundtracks that are curated, work wonders for giving you nostalgia, and taking you back to a certain time
