Aussie academic slammed for calling Islam ‘a cancer on the planet’

There's also the "Arab Conquest of Carthage".

We read "The Arabs sought to conquer Byzantium and convert its peoples to Islam."

Down in to the Bs, we learn about the Byzantine-Muslim War in 633. We read: "For the Muslims, this was a holy war to drive the Byzantine Christians out of the Middle East." The next few entries relate to a 4 century long conflict with many wars fought, all with the goal of driving out Christians and establishing Islamic rule within the land. The aggressor here was not the Christians. "In 633 Khalid ibn al-Walid (d. 642) initiated a jihad (holy war) against the Byzantine Empire with the intention of forcing the Christians out of the Middle East. The war was marked by a series of brilliant Muslim victories."

I dare not tally up all of those wars as individual wars, because there's seriously like 12 concrete wars that the encyclopedia identifies. So let's be super generous and count four centuries of Islamic aggression as a single war.

We get four wars where Islam is a primary motivating factor. And that's only to the Bs. And yes, I skipped over many wars involving muslim nations that I deemed as being political or not religiously motivated. I justified and quoted why I chose the four that I did. I erred very much on the side of caution and when in doubt, I did not include it.

So that's four in the As and Bs. 4 * 13 = 52 wars, if this trend was to continue. Is that fair to extrapolate out? No, of course not. It's a terrible way to try to predict the final number. But it does give a good indicator that already the numbers aren't looking so great for Islam.
