Sure!

Islam is similar to Nazism in a number of ways. To me, the primary one is that the movements both see themselves as possessing absolute moral authority. Something is just because Muhammad or Hitler did it, or said to do it, not by any independent reasoning.

Hitler order this shooting? That makes it just by the furherprincip (excuse my German spelling), leader-principle of one man with total power. Muhammad behead an entire tribe of Jews? It must be just, so we'll extrapolate a number of excuses to justify it. Muhammad take slaves and rape them? Rape is bad, so these slaves whose husbands he murdered must have wanted him because reasons.

And so on and so forth. Islam, very much like Nazism, believes that everything it does it right because it is the thing doing it. "God said so". "The fuhrer said to". They are ideologies that do not allow for criticism of the leader.

A Muslim cannot say "Muhammad was wrong", just like a devout Hitlerist-Nazi (as opposed to as Strasserist for example) cannot say, "Hitler was wrong". This shuts down any moral introspection and critical thinking in the adherents of the ideologies. It makes good people do evil things.

There are a number of other resemblances, of course. An interesting one is that both ideologies perceive that they have a manifest destiny to dominate the entire planet, and annihilate and exterminate all that would disagree with them. Muslims kill critics of Muhammad like Nazis killed Communist. Muslims and Nazis both use the press, and freedom of speech, where it suits them, but seek to crush anyone who dares to critizise them.

Not all Nazis in the 30's would agree with murdering Communists. Not all Muslims today would agree with the Charlie Hebdo shootings, and the shootings in my home city of Copenhagen.

But both communities have a significant minority or even majority of people who believe that this is fundementally just because it is done in the name of the ideology. Even today the majority of Muslims do not believe that people are free to critizise Muhammad - they see any insults to their rapist-murderer-prophet as literally satanic and an assault upon god itself.

There are more parallels. One is that Muslims and Nazis both blame Jews for many of the wrongs in the world. Interestingly Muslims and Nazis made natural allies, with Bosnian Muslims joining the Waffen SS, and the Mufti of Jerusalem encouraging a holocaust in the holy lands. I could go on like this for quite some time.
