Ryerson Centennial NURSING program curriculum revised for 2020/2021 year?

my first piece of advice is, if you have the chance to switch get out lol. personally it looks like a better set of courses than what we had to take. most alumni can agree that rye throws in such unnecessary courses like nse 112, leadership, and nse 407 to name a few. no surprise to me that those courses were taken out of the curriculum. sucks that they didnt change their mind on not having an extra course during consolidation tho. core courses are no longer full year, which means less students will be failing, and final exams wont be cumulative of all 24 weeks like we had it. Acute and life threatening illness is a new course you should look forward to, sounds worthwhile. Although I graduated on time, our experience sucked, 30-40% of students failed 2nd year, "nursing" was not taught to us past 2nd year with the exception of theory, and 3rd year was all community placements. Other programs used the same placement generating website as us and were able to choose their top placement choices, including what hospitals they would like but we didnt and were thrown into ltc any chance they had. Goodluck.
