So this is a cute picture, but it should be at least mentioned that a lot of the "more women in STEM" push (like the "more students in STEM" push generally) is being directed by the military-industrial complex. That might not be what's happening in this specific picture, and maybe all these girls will grow up to be Delta Airlines pilots ferrying happy people from a visit to Grandma to a well-deserved vacation, but I can't not think about it whenever one of these "MORE GIRLS IN STEM" posts shows up somewhere.
