"Because I believe in industry funded studies that supports my narrative. I don't give a fuck about the planet or future generations over my momentary palate pleasure. I like to take handouts from the meat aisle in a supermarket after the horrible dirty job is done by underpaid immigrants.I'm angry"

Why is it always humans or animals? Is it really so hard for people (not just you) to understand that you can care about more than one issue at a time?

Again, not saying you, but I got that argument a lot even as a nonvegan child simply because I liked nonhumans, and it came almost exclusively from people who did absolutely nothing to help anyone altruistically whatsoever. And even then, if the person they are insulting isn't literally superman, then they're somehow even less kind than the person who actually doesn't do more than lip service to victims on any front.

The funny thing is that, to be anecdotal, I do a fuckton for my own species altruistically. Still, somehow and in some way, not eating a cow means I fucking hate humans. It's never made sense to me. Why is it so wrong to make the world a better place, to use your phrasing, by helping everyone, human and non, in the ways I'm capable of?
