Firstly, the entire industry is not just full of people like him since people can be white/40 years of age and have polar opposite opinions, so to say two people are alike simply because they have a similar colour of skin and were born in the same generation seems shallow.

Secondly, you're making your own point, that it would be nice to hear from say a 12 year old black girl as an opposing viewpoint, and that is fair. I'm not arguing with that. But that isn't what she said, she simply said that because he had x skin colour and was y years old, his opinion isn't valid, which I would take issue with because everyone is unique with unique experiences.
