Ben Shapiro is fucking amazing

That's not how this works. Bill 89 isn't saying they'll take your kid away for not using their preferred gender pronoun. It's saying that if you discriminate against your kid based off of their gender identity and abuse them (physically, emotionally, etc), THEN you'll get them taken away from you. This statute already exists for race, sex, sexual orientation, etc, it's just adding "gender identity" to the list of motives for abuse by parents.

To give examples: Let's say you adopted a kid who was black and you are white. If you were to abuse them emotionally or physically because of the fact that they are black (calling them racial slurs, beating them, abusing them emotionally, not caring for them properly as their legal guardian, or some other behavior that constitutes "abuse" in the state's eyes), then they will take your children away. Surely we can all agree that this makes sense right? If some parent abuses their kid because of their kid's race, or because their kid is disabled, or because they wanted a son instead of daughter, that would be just that their children be taken away from them and be raised by a family that will care for them better yes?

It's the same exact principle: Just as there is a law that keeps a parent from abusing their black son because they hate black people, there is now also a law that prevents parents from abusing their trans child because they hate trans people.

Again, this is not saying that refusing to call your biological daughter "son" at the dinner table means you're going to get a visit from child protective services. It's saying that if you were to refuse to call them "son" and call them "dyke" instead, and refuse to feed them, or throw your silverware in their face, or the hundreds of other ways you can abuse your kid, then you'll get your kids taken away.

Personally, I think that's a good thing. No kid should have to suffer abuse at the hand of a hateful parent, no matter what kind of person they are.

edit: direct quote from what you linked:

The law amends the Criminal Code by adding "gender identity or expression" to the definition of "identifiable group" in section 318.[7][8] Section 318 makes it a criminal offence to advocate or promote genocide against members of an identifiable group, which now includes gender identity or gender expression. Since the definition of "identifiable group" is also used in s 319 of the Code, the amendment also makes it a criminal offence to incite or promote hatred because of gender identity or gender expression.[9]

This is just saying that "gender identity or expression" is now being classified as an "identifiable group" that can be discriminated against or worse, and that that fact can be articulated in the law. It's just adding gender identity to the list of groups that it's fucked up and punishable to commit hate crimes or discrimination against along with race, sex, religion, sexual orientation, etc. It's not saying that they get some special treatment.
