Best Budget AR15 for under 800?

Radical and Diamondback firearms are both pretty bad. You wont get a good free floated gun for $800. Buy a Stag, APF Econo Carbine or S&W Sport and upgrade later.

We've had Diamondback guns come in with loose barrels to the shop. The Radical stuff at least looks nice but the QC just isn't there. Stay away from Palmetto State Armory/ Daytona Tactical. Sometimes you get a good ones from them but the amount of PSA Guns/ Uppers we've had to fix is pretty high.

Everything in the 700-900 range from a good reputable brand is good "hobbyist" quality, meaning it will handle some regular range trips, you can depend on it for home defense, but make sure you maintain these guns regularly. The parts will not be proper MilSpec. The bolts may not always be HPT/MPI tested, extractors won't be as high grade as they should be. Barrels won't likely be CHF/CL and whatever "free float" rail comes on a cheaper gun like that won't hold up to being tossed around.
