Best way to prepare.

Seriously, I made a similar move about 5 years ago. Moved from UK to Houston. Tech Sales. My best advice in a paragraph I guess would be: Be honest, be knowledgeable. Your accent can work for you setting you apart, making you more memorable, and giving you a sense of I guess 'wizdom' or 'this guy knows'. But if you don't hit it right, it can easily work against you and make you appear cocky, arrogant, and alien. You'll have a lot to learn, so will need to think quick as you get started. Culturally it's going to be very different, so you can chuck it done if what you learned this side of the Atlantic. You'll probably need to learn to be a little less formal but that's easy to overcook and appear overly familiar. There's an AMAZING tool that I only came across in the USA..... Lunch and Learns. Use them and destroy the opposition. Enjoy!!!!! What an opportunity, and what a great ride you'll have.
