What’s your perspective on activity metrics

1) ‘log your fucking calls moron’ is a great way for me to never listen to you again (speaking as if I were your employee). I’m a human being, don’t be like that.

2) it would be one thing if I took a shot and missed the bucket. At this point I’m just getting my hands on the ball. In every category that I can possibly be measured against, I am ahead of the curve. Time to autonomy - 2 months ahead of the average hire. Deals progressed - right there with people that have pipelines 4x mine. Initial meetings booked - like I said, leading the company in the 6 weeks since hire. Mind you, I didn’t make a call in the first two. While I agree that I need to be on par with activity metrics, I don’t think it’s insane to have been okay spending time elsewhere given the position I’m in. And it’s not like I’m jerking off all day. I spend the time prepping for meetings with professionals in my industry that have been doing this work 10 to 20 years longer than I have so I don’t sound like a dipshit when I run a meeting, or teaching myself the technical intricacies of my product so I can speak with conviction about my differentiators. The only thing you can fault me on is taking a lunch break to hit the treadmill.
