Best way to spend $14k on a contractor

How long will it take before you get the other things on the list done?

Personally like to make sure the house is solid and sound. This means a few things are always a priority.

  • Roof: You did not mention it so I assume it does not need work.
  • Good gutters and water drainage to keep water away from the house.
  • Crawl Space mitigation. Make sure after the above two steps that crawl space is nice and dry and any mold/critters are gone.

The above 3 are my main things I tackle first. You did not mention them in your list but its worth it to check them out.

  • Double paned windows -AC added to the furnace -Kitchen remodel -New kitchen appliances -New garage door -Insulating and finishing the attic -Repairing master and shared bathroom -Changing from carpet to hardwood floors -Patio cover -Fixing cracks in driveway and patio
