Beyond The Summit – Announcing The BTS Series

Looks like we got the hug. Here's the text:

After the recent success of the BTS Americas, Beyond the Summit is proud to announce The BTS Series. Over the next year, BTS will invest $180,000 USD in total prize pool for 18 competitions spread across three distinct regions: America, Southeast Asia, and Europe. The tournament series will provide a competitive platform for up and coming teams to develop talent and synergy through a series of shorter online events. Each event will have open online qualifiers; the top performers will earn a chance to compete against proven invited teams from their region.

David Parker, project manager of the BTS Series, said of the announcement:

"BTS Americas was a huge success. We had over 3 million unique viewers over the two weeks of games which saw TI5 attendees Archon & Complexity getting knocked out in the semi-finals by up-comers Root Gaming & Summer’s Rift who provided a crazy finals watched by over 110,000 viewers at peak around the world. We’re looking to continue this support of the American Dota 2 scene by running follow-up events and branching out to SEA & Europe as well. The BTS Series will give rising stars a chance to compete against more established teams. Additionally, it will provide support to regions which otherwise have suffered for lack of events and support, specifically America & SEA."

Our first BTS Series event will begin its open qualifier this coming weekend, August 29-30, on the FACEIT platform. The first BTS SEA will see a revitalized Fnatic roster take on challengers Mineski & MVP Hot6 amongst others, as they compete for a prizepool of $10,000 USD in a concise 10 day format.

Stay tuned for additional information for future BTS Series events as they approach in the coming weeks. More details on how you can watch through the DOTA 2 client will be released soon!
