Bill would prevent airlines from imposing bathroom fee; “One thing they should never have to worry about is access to a bathroom," said Rep. Dan Lipinski (D-Ill.)

I knew there'd be a comment like this. It's a sad thing that society has gone in this direction.

  1. People are fat because they consume more calories than they burn. Therefore it's their choice to be fat.

  2. Airplane seats are not tiny by any means.

  3. No seats are actually tiny. Fat people are the problem.

  4. If someone is uncomfortable because they are too fat to fit in a seat they should take that as a wakeup call. It's all too common for fat people to get upset and blame everyone else because they don't want to take responsibility for their poor choices. Again, their weight is entirely within their control. That is not debateable, it's a fact.

I am obese and am losing weight. It's as simple as eating less calories (not necessarily less food, just eating food with less calories!) and walking more. I walk 30 minutes to work, often walk the same way home and at work I'm on my feet running around for 8 hours. I'm not that big compared to many obese people I've seen and that's scary because I'm ~30 pounds into "obese" BMI. Many people nowadays actually consider my size to be "overweight" and most people are shocked and refuse to believe I'm obese, especially because it means they're even more obese.

Novel aside, fuck that way of thinking. The fat dudes are the problem and the seats are a perfectly good size. I'm glad some airlines are making fat people pay for two seats if that is what their fat takes up! It's their fault for being fat and they should take that as a wakeup call. I'm obese and I've always found airplane seats roomy. It disturbs me that there are so many people that can't fit in them... and that they will blame anyone but the real problem: themselves.
