What is needed to transform great bike into a real adventure bike? With this project we have discovered. The engine of the F 800 GS is so generous that much has not changed.
Our attention was all for the chassis, ergonomics and look for long trips, because in the end the eye wants its part. We have therefore chosen to mount wheels really Tubless range Kineo Specialthings MST, with the hub and rim extruded and machined with CNC machines, ensuring accuracy of roundness in the tenth of a millimeter reducing over all the weight of nearly 4 kg on the pair of wheels. The chassis has been improved by equipping the original forks BMW closed cartridge MUPO that adjusts compression, preload and rebound like a real motorcycle racing, all “controlled” by our kit steering plates billet in 7075 that guarantee rigidity torsional racing.
At the rear is mounted a shock absorber MUPO AB2 that allows the setting of the motion as a function of the road ahead in this case also being able to adjust preload, compression and extension for both the low and high speeds. To remove the extra weight was replaced the entire exhaust system with exhaust manifolds and exhaust Titanium always Specialthings by MST. Last but not least important, is mounted the new hull RallyComp X for BMW F 800 GS by MST that allows you to have a bike that looks appealing that expressly recalled the Dakar motorcycle. The kit RallyComp X is composed of the two sides of the hull and hull front, made of plastic material molded ABS, and transparent Plexiglas to be Street Legal with TUV approval.
The fairing kit can be installed without making any changes to the bike that keeps unchanged and intact its forms and characteristics could then ensure that the installation Plug & Play on the bike. Lighting is provided by two lights poliellissodali 50 watts each and a pair of extra lights led 50 watt each (soon replaced by the new LED headlights with power output of 100 watts each). The instrumentation for driving remains the original one.
