Honestly why? If climate scientists are to be believed then we face something apocalyptic in our future. People will generally vote for their short term benifit and by the time their short term reaches them it may be too late to do anything.

A couple of decades ago Francis Fukuyama wrote about the end of history after liberal democratic govornments outlived the soviet union. And now these same govornments face oblivion and do nothing or at least not enough to stop it.

Of course at this point there is no way to implament a better alternative. But still if climate change is indeed the massive threat they all say it is then what the fuck is the point of maintaining all these institutions that have done fuck all to stop it.
