I can believe it's taken me this long to ask, but...

Here's another visual refrence for those who need it.

This scene can be one of three places:

  1. This was all for background effect, and it serves no purpose. (Which I highly doubt, but it's still up for grabs.)

  2. Possibly another Galaxy Warp? But that would leave more questions like what would it be on if it isn't the moon? The flooring around the warp pad looks glossy, similar to the Galaxy Warp, so it's possible. Maybe something like a satellite (like you said) or just another made-up surface.

  3. Maybe this warp pad was used in the war as a way for the Crystal Gems to get to Earth easily? In Friend Ship, Pearl explains that Homeworld gems use those UFO-shaped ships to get to earth, and looking at all the technology inside and the old Diamond insignia inside as well, this looks like it had to be "Pink Diamond's" ship (as apart to probably the biggest theory currently). They would need an easier way to get to Earth than flying those ships back and forth from Homeworld, so that's probably a secret warp pad they made to get to earth. The Galaxy Warp was used for gems to get here and there from planets, but now, they're all destroyed. Yet, there's one still standing. Lastly, if u look closer, the flooring and the warp pad itself has this mixed pink and orchid color that could either be for effect or relate to Pink Diamond. (The Galaxy Warp still appears a light bluish color in both day and night, so the relation to Pink Diamond is still possible.)

As for when we will see it in the show, the overall thought is in the future episode (don't click if you haven't seen the leaked titles) . Yes, you can see the moon from where they are, but all the other titles are pretty vauge to tell, so this episode is our best bet. Really hope we find out soon!
