CMV: Boy Scouts are not in the wrong for not letting girls join

Hey, how about actually addressing what I said instead of making up strawmen. The purpose of scouting isn't "male bonding", it's what I showed you from the BSA website. So even if that's a benefit you personally received, it's not the purpose of the organization. Also, I pointed out that Girl Scouts allow boys, so clearly I'm not advocating for female only youth organizations and not male only organizations, I'm saying all youth organizations of a similar nature should be co-ed. That's literally the opposite of sexism. You, on the other hand, tried to imply that if I don't think it's ever approriate to have gender specific organizations/activity I'm sexist if I think this specific type of activity should be co-ed. I think after puberty, gender specific sports teams make sense due to physical differences. I think private organizations have the right to offer scholarships to whomever they choose, based on whatever qualifications they deem important. I'm perfectly okay with the Sons of Confederacy being an entirely male organization.

I know what I'm talking about. I've been involved with both Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts and there's nothing about either group that necessitates them being gender specific.
