College recruitment *College Players Help *

Top post is all true. I'll add a few points based on my experience:

Just work on being the best player you can. Not in the sense of worrying about being recruited (or joining websites), just enjoy the game and have a good work ethic.

There's no need to stress, the opportunity will always be there. Academics is EXTREMELY important like they said. I'll also add that being a respectable player. Some of our best players on the team got cut for emotional/lack of respect issues. I've also seen top players get cut for not practicing/taking things seriously, which is why I stressed the good work ethic. A lot more players just quit. College sports are a lot different than high school. They demand a lot of your time.

You know who took their spots? Walk-ons. In fact, most of the team were walk-ons despite the fact that my school was very sports-oriented and gave out a lot of scholarships. The best part is that in many situations, some of the walk-ons were able to pick up the foregone scholarships.
