Comcast Tries, Fails to Mock Google Fiber: Comcast decided to slam Google's outage on the company's Facebook page - wound up with hundreds of customers complaining about everything from abysmal service to Comcast's slowly-spreading usage caps

You probably don't notice the issues because you are not a power user. You don't rely on a stable connection. I live in a house with 2 other people and we would hit a 300gb cap by the end of the first week.

My fiance works from home 4 days a week. You might not notice spotty internet when you are streaming/browsing the web but you will notice it when you are trying to remote desktop because the computer won't register clicks/typing and might even disconnect you from the session.

My friend and I game pretty competitively normally within the top 1-3% of players on what ever game we are playing. At that level, slight amounts of lag can be the biggest differences. Comcast's services lead us to experience many dropped games and lag spikes during games. It would happen a couple times a week, while not a lot would, it would still completely ruin playing competitively since you need consistency. Since we would play a lot, we would notice every little time comcast's network was under strain/throttle.

We would all 3 continuously stream Netflix throughout the day. There was no way to stay under the 300gb cap. We asked if we could pay more for unlimited internet but was still told no.

Even after all that, I still would have stayed Comcast due to lack of better alternative if they didn't decide to keep screwing with my monthly bill. They randomly started charging me for renting a modem(which I never did) or they would randomly add fees or raise my rates. I had to thoroughly look at my bill each month and call and complain to get it fixed. I would then have to call again and follow up and make sure all the discussed changes were made and correct. It was a full time job just to manage Comcast and their customer service was atrocious.
