Coparenting for a new dad - DRAMA FILLED ANECDOTE, long - you are warned!

Mental illness is real and impacts on people's ability to be a healthy and rational individual. It impacts on insight, judgment, and decision making. He had a nervous breakdown, suicide attempts in 2018 and 2019, and has been dealing with bipolar disorder and depression. He is not a mentally health man, even this post has signs of his ongoing challenges with mental health.

I realize you may not believe in mental illness. That doesn't actually change the fact that it is real. My post is not to argue or convince you otherwise. There is still so much stigma and discrimination and the idea that mental illness hasn't impacted him, his decision making, and his ability to parent is just a very uninformed and stigmatized view.
