She's an injured veteran so she hasn't worked since maybe 2008 and has been collecting government checks for a while. She can still walk around and stand though, I'm pretty sure she just hurt an ankle. I've suggested easy desk jobs like reception or call center customer service, but she always whines that she doesn't want to work jobs like that because she hates people. Meanwhile she screamed at me as a teenager when I wouldn't get any calls back from hiring managers because she thinks that walking into a store to talk to a manager will still land you a job at Walmart nowadays. She flat-out refuses to work. I'll just tell her she can feel free to buy him a laptop herself.
