Counterclockwise: how big can mini phones get?

Plenty of people here complaining about no more compact phones, yet Sony keeps making them (the "c" series and now the mid-range XA series) and they sell like hotcakes. After months on the iphone 7 plus I got fed up with the size and decided to ignore specs (other than a semi-decent camera) and get the phone that felt the best in my hand and I got the XA. Do not get fooled by the spec sheet or photos, if you're in the market for a smaller, mid-range phone, don't think twice. The newer model ups the specsheet and gets the Xperia X camera (23mp) with some improvements as well.

I have never owned a phone that felt so well in my hand. It certainly isn't flawless (no Nougat yet and when it comes out it'll certainly be the last update the phone gets, battery life is no more than adequate but coming from a 7 plus everything would be I guess), but this phone has made me wonder why the hell I kept buying flagships for years.

Reason for buying the XA over the XA1 is that I much preferred the older design. One of the most beautiful phones I've ever owned. And please, before you say "omg chin" just go see one in person.
