I think your discomfort is legitimate and it takes a strong person to speak up to racism when it happens, especially when you know you will be assaulted for it. It's surprising to me that some of the most vocal and abusive characters I find on reddit seem to present themselves as white people who are fiercy advocating that white people are racist and black people are disadvantaged. Any white person who disagrees with that narrative must be racist. It is a dialectic / thought trap... it is possible to care very sincerely for black people and other non majority identity groups without agreeing or supporting measures that fein to help but actually cause harm.
