[Other] Top Gun: Maverick - Official Trailer (2020) - Paramount Pictures. Predictions?

Why is everyone comparing this to Mission Impossible?

This film looks nothing like it nor will it have the same draw. The director is questionable at best and it looks like a movie that should have come out in 2016, not 2020. I think people are forgetting that Cruise still has a spotty box office record (as of recently) and Mission Impossible is a (somewhat) consistent franchise. This movie is too much of a wildcard to start predicting whether it would 800m. Seriously, that's some crazy numbers to throw out especially since Top Gun isn't going to play very well for the under 30 audiences (and because Mission Impossible: Fallout made under 800m).

And to those saying "I'm [insert age under 30] and I'm excited for Top Gun 2" that's great, but guess what? You are in the minority. Plus, let's not forget what's coming out in July 2020: Minions, Ghostbusters, Tenet, Jungle Cruise, and Morbius. Yea, this isn't going have strong legs nor will people want spend their movie right before the July Buffet.
