I got into an argument with my dad at dinner tonight. I said we should conduct an investigation into Kavanaugh after we retake the house, but he says it's a waste of time if he's already been seated and there's no chance of impeaching him. It's weird: my dad is always complaining about the Democrats not being tough enough, but when they actually try and fight back, he complains that they're being "stupid." Case in point, he said the Democrats should've let Kavanaugh be confirmed immediately instead of dragging it out in "a pointless battle they were destined to lose." He also blames Hillary's "ambition" for Trump's victory in 2016 and thinks she shouldn't have run.
