I think maybe hysterical bonding played a role in my friendships post election.

Because yesterday I was checking instagram from bed when I'd just woken up and saw a video, I shit you not, of a friend pouring herself a bath, saying, writing, "Engaging in a bit of self care due to a breakup of my best friend of 15 years."

And my first thought is,"this can't be about me, because a) I've been friends with her like 10 years and b) we didn't speak for 4 of those due to her own shitty behavior and c) I'd never considered our relationship on a BFF level."

Apparently it was about me. Whoops. Extremely long story short I'd cut off contact with this friend years ago but we started talking post election because, shit, I was somehow talking to every woman I knew post election. It was a intense time. But I'd been right to walk away from this person years before.

Feel free to call me ableist but actual diagnosed Borderline people who aren't actively in therapy? NOPE

I mean I also kinda regret reaching out to my Berner sister in law post trump but at least she's just posting Robert Reich and not passive aggressive self care videos
