Daily Questions Megathread (March 23, 2021)

Let's admit it. The game has tons of issues. From lack of end game, all the way to very slow content drip, horrible quest design, samey moves/weapons, boring story and dead exploration with no incentive to do anything but the most mundane mat collection (which takes way too long and is too tedious and resource-intense), no pvp system, and many other things.

I think MiHoYo bit far more than it could chew. HI3 is largely a simpler game to maintain (and ergo, flashier in so many other ways) and I guess we could attribute some of the recent HI3 flash to Genshin money, but GI is really slipping.

How fast before they start hemorrhaging players? No one talks about the game much anymore. All you can hear about is mostly controversy over 2FA, leak shutdowns and most of the conversation is negative. Too grindy. Too greedy. Too boring. Too content-dry, etc.

Will GI eventually transform into HI3 in terms of number of players and support? When the money faucets of GI are reduced to a trickle, will the game turn into an endless mini-game and will HI3 be negatively affected with less budget as a result as well?
