"Daybreak CEO to go after hacker who downed his flight"

He didn't do one thing 50,000 times, he did two things that affected 50,000 people across Finland, as I understand the charges. And you're trivializing my point, making a strawman argument that people should just be totally forgiven on account of a bad upbringing or lack of maturity. I'm simply saying that the action taken by the legal system should be what is determined to modify the behavior and prevent it from happening again, and nothing more. And that varies. Some people may need to spend a year in jail, maybe more, to stop their behavior. But some people may only need the fear of incarceration to do so. If the legal system doesn't take into account these differences, they'll ultimately cause a lot of damage to a lot of people with no cause. And of course for some people that won't ever be enough. But even though you know what he's been convicted of, that doesn't mean you know what it will take to stop him from doing it again, which is the real victory.

But of course that doesn't matter to you, and your gung-ho, damage-for-damage ideology. You think that what he "deserves" comes from what he's done, I think it comes from what will make sure what he's going to do isn't any of these crimes you've named. You look to the past. You want revenge, and you still think you know better than people who actually practice law. You even talk like the simple fact that he's charged with so many counts (which again, is a useless distinction), and that he has other charges pending, makes him guilty. You don't even believe he's innocent until proven guilty, you already are sure he's guilty on his pending charges because of what you already know about him. You have no regard for any law in any country, and you still think that you ought to come into this comment thread and share your meaningless, uninformed disagreement with this ruling.
