Debate: Skilled Players Who Use Powerful Characters

I was trying to say that good players try to improve themselves at every opportunity and bad (or 'scrub') players just do the barest minimum, path-of-least resistance tactics to feel good about themselves regardless of the means to that end.

You are correct, this is a more accurate way of stating what we were talking about. I pride myself with playing right in between these two types of players. I play whatever the I want, but I always switch up my game play to refresh myself to new strategies and keep myself always learning and trying.

I was trying to say, homie, that you are the latter. Every time I've played with you, you consistently do the cheapest, most lame tactics required and then act like you're hot stuff. It wasn't that you picked welder and spammed the point without actually trying to cap- this isn't exactly scrubby on it's own- its that I knew this is something that you would do. And you did it as if right on cue.

First things first. I started the game off as Dr. Toxic and when I noticed my enemies were mostly chompers I switched to Welder. Now a Welders role consists of pissing enemies off and trying to run them out of the garden by lighting them on fire, albeit a simple strategy. While my teammates are commiting suicide by rushing garden I am trying to drive plants out - and waiting for my teammates to come in as a group so I can join them.

Case in point our match yesterday: You spammed a strong character and got 12 kills, only rarely helped your team, and pretty much let the game play itself.

First of all, this was one of my first game in months because I've been playing Black Ops 3. I did bad as law pea my first game so I thought i'd try welder. I likely had 50+ assists. I already explained how my strategy at hand was trying to drive plants from the garden with splash damage.

You barely played and got a win you didn't work for. I lost but pulled a hell of game and still came out on top... and I did it all while streaming and talking to a crowd of 20+ people. That's the difference between a skilled player and a scrub player.

Now my issue with this is you are simply judging others game play too much. Just focus on playing however you want to and leave other people be, and you will probably have more fun but you have already shown that this is not the type of person you are. So in this case I'll judge you as you have judged me.

I remember specific moments during your stream months ago when your complaining about having played the game so much that you got really fucking bored but were still playing for the twitch viewers. So it's obvious you aren't playing for fun, unlike everybody else. And in your agitated state you focus on making sure you are playing "honorably (marine biologist)" while judging the fuck out of the other players in the game - and even a friendly viewer like me. You are an agitated scumbag. I noticed that the moment I killed you the first time a entire wave of insults and negativity as if it was just building up inside you from whatever happens in your day or as if you are just bored out of your mine at this game. Of course your not hyped for GW2 and talking shit to the people who act hyped in your chat. Someone asked you what class your playing in gw2, and you told him he was like a little kid on Christmas in an insulting way. Like, wow, man.

Yes. I use powerful characters sometimes but especially when playing with you because for some reason I decided to show off and I will admit that was not the most honorable thing to do. It's fun to try and impress level 313's, and you guys hit great streaks with balanced characters and its really intimidating. I understand your offense to how I behaved playing with you and talking in your chat, completely. I do recall always using powerful characters with you even months in the past. But I really with I could show you my sticker book because I've played a lot of classes and variants evenly besides chomper (who I barely ever play) and cactus (who I play a lot with around a fourth or more of my game time).

I'm sorry. It is not fun for me to talk this much shit. But let me have a moment to explain my position on a topic which doesn't relate to you or me at all.

Imagine your a football coach - a coach who only coaches one player. When you play a game you as a coach can say whatever you wants to motivate the player. This is a metaphor for one person playing a video game. My coach tells my player to win the game as fast as he can. Your coach tells your player to win the game as skillfully as he can.

Hell. This is evident in every video game. I know of whole communities in COD who only use knives in order to prove their skill, because it's fun for them. Or there are others who try and get as many HUD animations on their screen before hitting a no scope. Even players who prefer being completely invisible to the enemy team, sneaking and going on kill streaks.

In conclusion.

You simply have no control over how the other players play the game. Without try hards, there are no casuals. Without scrub players, there are no skillful players. Imagine a player who likes to play games experiencing every aspect of game play and strategy - playing casual, scrubby, skillfully, or try hard at his own will to his own desire - ME. This is what I have been trying to explain to you the whole time I was in your stream

Good day to you. I sent this in a PM so that mods don't get involved. I don't feel like sharing all this with the community. But honestly I have a feeling we may end up playing together, because I plan on getting involved with the competitive private match community playing with Chuyon and the likes. And trust me I will cut back on my scrubby ways while playing with you I do feel a level of shame for playing that way after you explain it the way you did. So I really hope we can let all this shit slide because I hate leaving things off so badly. See you later, I'll be lurking in your stream, LOL
