Depression. Can anyone relate?

Hey there. I've been diagnosed with depression, too. Been on medication for a few months now. Last semester (Fall 2016), I stopped leaving my room for most of my classes. I stopped eating. I'm still having trouble sleeping. I honestly believe that one of the best things I did for myself was to pledge the professional Chem frat. With a mix of therapy and Meds, I decided to put myself out there and rush, and I got a bid. It's kept me busy, helped me meet people, and get out more. My best friend since early on in high school withdrew due to some similar health issues, which really hit me hard. I'm ashamed to say that since then I've distanced myself from friends and my girlfriend. I really would recommend finding a smaller group of people with shared interests. For me, it was the Chem frat, but for you it can be anything. Maryland can be really intimidating with the sheer number of people that exist in the space. Making the school smaller can really help pull you out of this situation. Feel free to message me if you wanna hang or talk. I know it'll help me at least as much as it can help you.
