Describe your first ever solo/duos/squads win :)

Just started a few days ago and won my first last night.

After getting the Sgt Winter skin, I decided to play a couple more to finish my last challenge. I landed at Polar Peaks with the intention of just getting chests for the weekly challenge. Lucky for me, no one else landed there and I got 6!! chests to finish it up, but only about a minute left to run across the map to get out of the storm.

Trying to find a way down from the north side was impossible, but going south would have been death. I had enough mats to build ramps down and make a safe jump about 10m and land on a hillside. Then I took off like Forrest Guml, only I had a purpose: not dying. But the storm caught me...

Made it out of the storm with a little less than 40 health. Bandaged up to 75 with 65 shield. There were 30ish people left, so I didn't like my chances without full health, but I figured most medkits would be looted, so I relied on stealth.

I crept forward, found a bush to crouch in and watched. As the storm closed in again, I saw someone running down the river and up the hill. As he ran, I scoped. Here we go. Lined up the shot. Squuezed the trigger. Watched the tracer land right behind him. Shit.

He stopped and started building. I stayed in my bush and waited for another opportunity that never came. As time crept up, it was time to make a break for it. As I ran for the edge, I heard the crack of a sniper from that same damned hill. But it wasn't for me. Down the hill in front of me, loot exploded. I stopped at the edge and began waiting again.

At this point, the numbers are dwindling, and I'm just hoping for a top 6 or something. The storm begins creeping in and it's time to move. As I sprinted across the field and approached the edge of the circle, a building started going up right in front of me. I found a rock to crouch behind and watched as he and the sniper on the hill had a bit of a shootout to no avail. As the storm closed in again, it was time to sprint.

Crack! I heard the sniper round whiz by, and I know my friend has a line on me. At this point, I'm resolved to take a top ten finish, so I scope in quickly, let it rip and the bullet drops perfectly... between the legs of my enemy. What a shot. No damage done.. . Just between the legs... Then he gets murdered by a long rifle shot and I was free to run.

So, here we are. 4 people left and the storm circling around Dusty. One person down to the storm. We've got a top 3 boys! Then the third place guy goes down and it's truly crunch time.

The storm begins moving to the tiny circle, and I'm forced out. My new enemy is building a tower, and I crouch at the base of it with nowhere to go. I'm not much of a builder and don't have materials regardless, so I wait and hope to catch him jumping out when the storm moves. Just a few seconds more and...

Bam! A rocket lands just a few feet away. I'm dead. I know I'm dead. 9 health, no materials, and the storm is moving. I rush behind a tree. And another, And another. Just waiting to take a bullet to the back. It's all over. The storm moves and then it happens...

Like a dream, the big popup fills my screen. #1 Victory Royale. Unbelievable. I'm ecstatic. Totally over the moon. I rush to take a screen shot to send to my son and ended up capturing the video instead, so now I've got that. Lol

TL;DR Won. 0 kills. 2 shots taken, 2 misses. All luck, no skill.

P.S. I don't know what's more cringey: that I'm this hype, that I typed this all out, or that I did it on mobile. Idc though. Totally worth it.
