Despite their differences, it's awesome to see this from one generation of racer to another. Really puts Jeff's impact into perspective.

Call me cynical but I don't believe for a second that Brad Keselowski did that for any reason other than to promote himself and his "brand." As a driver, I don't mind Keselowski at all (though he has some annoying tendencies). However, ever since he was in the 88 at JRM, he has shown an annoying ability to promote himself well to NASCAR's core fan base (generally the "Jr" crowd).

Whether it is holding up the American flag when he wins in an American series against substantially all American competitors on only American race tracks, or calling Kyle Busch an ass in front of a crowd that is already booing Kyle Busch just a couple minutes before, or going from being a 26 year old that had never drank alcohol & being opposed to it to being drunk on national TV because he's got a beer sponsor, or writing self-entered blog posts making whatever topic that is trending that isn't about him suddenly relate to him, or whatever other disingenuous shit he's thought of this week...it's just disingenuous shit.

I don't blame him for doing it because NASCAR's core fan base eats that shit up & begs for more, but I can't respect it. Carl Edwards is a corporate shill but he doesn't try to hide he's a corporate shill. Keselowski tries to act like this isn't an act, yet watching & hearing who he was before he started the act in the JRM 88 -- because he was in this sport before then -- and even when he was still in the 88 makes it so sadly obvious.

So congrats guys, in the same way he got you guys to turn a topic about Kyle Busch being injured into a discussion of Brad Keselowki, he's turned Charlotte celebrating Jeff Gordon into a top post discussion of a picture of Keselowski and Keselowski is so respectful. If he was really respectful of someone like Jeff Gordon, he wouldn't have turned his back of Gordon the only time Gordon ever tried to talk to him. How you treat people means a trillion times more than how well you stage a photo opportunity. At least Keselowski's good at being such a disingenuous schill.
