Moved from England to Sweden in late 2020, partner is Swedish and landed his dream job.

Brexit was closing in and having just spent all of lockdown overworked and underpaid as a debt advisor in a tiny flat in the middle of Birmingham I couldn’t wait to get out. Surprisingly cities are much more fun when you can actually got out, who knew!?

Unfortunately it was overstated how easy it would be for me to get a job with just English and how easy it is to learn a second language as an adult (really goddam hard!)

So yeah, motivation was a bit short sighted but global pandemics will do that to ya. Will probs move back home if I can’t find a job soon and be an ex-expat.
