[Discussion] Authors and agents: Which parts of the query process frustrate you most?

That Goodreads lets people shelf adult fantasy as YA in their system. It's really kind of maddening because I'll think I found a good book as a potential comp and then nobody can agree on whether or not it's YA or adult. I'm bad at names, so I haven't memorized all the adult fantasy imprints and that's my problem in life and no one else's. But it is still really frustrating to look at, say, Race the Sands, and a bunch of people are calling it YA when the imprint, author, and everything else about it imply that it's adult.

(This is also a much larger problem in regards to marginalized writers and diversity in the SFF space that has been talked about since at least 2015, I believe)
