Yes. I threw a baby shower for my best friend 4 years ago. Last summer I ended up asking my sister to throw my baby shower, but requested that it be outside for Covid reasons, so a little bit earlier than usual since we live in an area with very cold winters. Lo and behold nobody talked about it until late December, 4 weeks before my due date. What with Covid and being due so soon, I told them not to do anything. I was incredibly disappointed in all of them though. They asked what I wanted, I told them, and nobody followed through. It wasn't until my mom accidentally killed my childhood horse that she started asking about it so the whole situation for me has pretty negative feelings as well.
