Does anyone else feel that the best relationships are with those who you DON’T really like at first? I’m heartbroken over this ending. I felt I found my soulmate.

Also- we’ve had to do the long distance thing for a year. He is awful at maintaining intimacy long distance. The whole all action little talk doesn’t lend itself to long distance well. We almost divorced when we had to live apart because I felt SO lonely and disconnected from him. I realized I was becoming tempted to stray and I didn’t want to cheat on him. But we were able to shift priorities and eventually be together again. We been very happy living in the same place. Be decent and thoughtful with each other- maybe circumstances will change and you can be together again. At least he’s taught you what a great relationship feels like.
