Not really, wanting to show myself at my best on a dating website is giving myself the best opportunity because tbh all a profile is is pics and some mainly generic answers. If you think purposely using unflattering pics weeds out idiots, then there’s a chance you’ve underestimated some (plenty on dating apps) men on apps who treat it as a numbers Game. Attraction is a vital part of dating and then the filtering process begins once we talk, so again, thinking using unflattering pics to eliminate hook up merchants is counter productive in my mind, because most people, irrespective of intentions will need to be attracted to to you anyway. I don’t filter/edit pics because I want the best pics but also ban honest representation of myself.
