Why does it feel like everyone goes for the second baby?

Nope. A kid in my son's preschool class has an 11 year old brother, he's 5, and his mom is 8 months pregnant. I don't understand the desire on a basic level but it's not my life. People change their minds on this kind of thing all the time.

No one I know in real life is OAD and it really doesn't affect me, no one asks me why I didn't have more just like I don't ask other people why they had three. A lot of people know my husband had a vasectomy and I haven't heard anything negative about it. We live in a HCOL area with a lot of highly educated people so it's not unusual for people to start having kids late and be having them into their late 30s.
